hi friends! just a note with some updates:

1) we're working on new designs and keeping the idea generator cranking... please check back often as things are moving behind the scenes!

2) in the meantime, you've probably noticed that buddhycall.us only offers thong-style undies. the reason? thongs are the only option our current distributor -- CafePress -- offers. this ain't flyin' with any of us, so what do you say .... let's change it!

In light of the great discussion taking place around these parts, I felt inspired by today's DailyOm ... a nice tribute to the ever-differing opinions here -- and in our world!

Experiences Shape Your Reactions:
Our view of the universe is largely determined by our experiences. It is when we are caught off guard by the spontaneity of existence that we are most apt to respond authentically, even when our feelings do not correspond with those of the multitude. Events that arouse strong emotions with us or are surprising in nature can be disquieting, for it often is in their aftermath that we discover how profoundly our histories have shaped us. The differences that divide us from our peers are highlighted in our reactions when these diverge from the mainstream, and this can be highly upsetting because it forces us to confront the uniqueness of our lives.

When our response to unexpected news or startling ideas is not the same as that of the people around us, we may feel driven by a desire to dismiss our feelings as irrational or incorrect. But reactions themselves are neither right, nor wrong. The forces that sculpted the patterns that to a large extent dictate our development are not the same forces that shaped the development of our relatives, friends, colleagues, or neighbors. There is no reason to believe that one person's reaction to a particular event is somehow more valid than another's. How we respond to the constant changes taking place in the world around us is a product of our history, a testament to our individuality, and a part of the healing process that allows us to address key elements of our past in a context we can grasp in the present.

Life's pivotal events can provide you with a way to define yourself as a unique and matchless being, but you must put aside the judgments that might otherwise prevent you from gaining insight into your distinct mode of interpreting the world. Try to internalize your feelings without categorizing or evaluating them. When you feel unsure of the legitimacy of your reactions, remember that cultural, sociological, spiritual, and familial differences can cause two people to interpret a single event in widely dissimilar ways. Examining your responses outside of the context provided by others can show you that your emotional complexity is something to be valued, for it has made you who you are today.

Reading the latest issue of What is Enlightenment? this weekend -- a fantastic dive into women's liberation and the feminist movement in the 21st century (or lack thereof?) and stumbled yet again across Ken Wilber's innovative Integral Philosophy ... and of course, it simply HAD to become a pair or two of undies .... (ps: I highly recommend buying this issue ... and every issue from WIE for that matter)

Now ... on to the design: a simple thought to be reminded of as often as possible ... something to strive for ... something to create.... thanks, Ken.

another day ... another doll hair?

i never really was one for collecting dolls ... as a girl, or a lay-dee for that matter. some people, though, apparently get into the obsession. why? to find or create perfect models of an unattainable female figure? never really made sense to me ... i guess i always thought the idea behind this whole life thing was to engage in the flaws, the nooks, the crannies -- those things were what made it interesting. i guess this calls for a new undie idea...

undies? boxers? both? neither? do tell.

 

venture out... have an adventure...

this weekend is the perfect time to start something new ... yep. it's a new moon. and this time, the darkest hour comes on saturday ...

some idears? maybe set some time aside to lounge around, sensitive-style... maybe even in a new pair of undies ... (oh: was that my outside voice?)

really though, new moon in cancer ... could be quite loving and nurturing. try it on.

Like many great stories, it all started one evening at the pub.

"What if," life-coach Gretchen said, "there was a line of coaching underwear?" "Hee, hee, hee," giggled Elissa over her pint of Guinness. Then, "Hee, hee--wait, that's a good idea."

Hence, the naming-game began and––many pints later––BuddhyCall was born. All to highlight your assets. All to help you return to your seat of power.  All to remind you: this wisdom is already within you ... now, it's just time to get it out there.
