brain. full. can't. talk.
I need a moment to digest. In the meantime: highlights from a great two days...
1) If you're not listening to what your customers are saying, drop everything and DO THIS NOW. I'll wait.
2) OK. Now, put all this info in a doc and show it to your CEO, your
client, your whomever. Again, I'll wait.
3) Finally, pick the jaw up off the floor and get to work.
The time is now. As we've learned: Change waits for no one (Bob Garfield). People are talking about you now (Jim Nail). In fact, if you were to "add content to a discussion that's already taking place" (Zane Safrit), people could be gushing about you tomorrow (Dave Balter). And finally .... drum roll... you can track it all with measurement and real numbers (Net Promoter).
Oh, and one more thing before I put my brain on ice:
If yer product ain't up to snuff, get your ass moving. With consumers this savvy, this involved, this active, oftentimes they know more about your product than your salespeople. And they're not afraid to talk. (Ed Kelly/Jon Berry)
That's it for now... Mickey calls. Or is that a margarita? I see my WOMMA comrades heading for Francisco's ...
Later.
PS) For Frank fans: here we are!
HA! It's time for FRANK, ruFrank, I am FRANK, FRANK is more real than anything I've heard about. FRANK is fun and serious and deep and profound and irreverent and cheeky and bold and calming and to the point . . . it is the point. It's the mighty-real confluence between heart & head. As Abbie Hoffman said, "You have to laugh us with, laugh at us, and take us seriously all at the same time, or you're going to miss the point!" I'm keenly excited about FRANK!
