In this 2.0 world, transparency is the new black.
And it’s an enduring trend.
With transparency, authentic branding isn’t an oxymoron.
With transparency, organizational courage is expected.
With transparency, social media reigns.
With this, we’re living in a new space of openness.
A paradigm shift toward honesty.
An existence of integrity.
A time to be frank.
And I am Frank. It’s not my name. It’s who I am.
I am Frank.
I am focused on collaboration.
On unification.
On action.
I am Frank.
I am able to entertain myself. Educate myself. Inform myself.
I don’t need brand machismo, I need product merit.
I don’t need office ego, I need business evolution.
I don’t need coercion. I need co-creation.
I need a blogger from around the world telling me what wine she likes.
I need a cyclist next door telling me what bike lock to avoid.
I need, in this world of business, more people acting like people.
More people being Frank.
I need people who understand there’s a conversation happening right now––about your brand, your product, your organization. And the more you get into it, the more you get out of it.
I need people who realize that an involved customer is an evolved customer. And the more you deny this, the more money you’ll lose.
I need people who recognize that control is a delusion. And the more you let go, the more you gain.
This goes against what many call ‘human nature’ ... to create what you need and hold onto it for dear life.
Fact is: this is simply not true.
Nothing can be made without another’s involvement. Nothing.
Sure, one may say, “Not true. I painted this painting. I created this out of my own mind. This is mine. mine. Mine!”
But we would quickly tell them:
Wood, a tree, made your brush handle. Chemists, pigments, made your paint. Mothers, fathers––your parents––made you neurotic enough to find your inspiration.
This is a world of abundance. And it’s time to stop denying it.
This a world of Frank.
In this room, we have everything we need to co-create this world.
In this room, we have the expertise, the software, the tools, the technology, the means to this end.
But this technology ... it is not the end.
As co-creators, it is also the technology of our souls, our minds, our passion that is the engine behind this machine.
We are the reason this technology works.
Our voice. Our participation. And most importantly, our encouragement of other’s participation.
Our celebration of user-generated content, of consumer generated media.
Our drive toward accessibility and affordability.
Our push toward authenticity, toward transparency.
Toward being Frank.
And the result?
A new breed of CEO – a Conversation Empowered Organization.
A company that shines from the inside out.
An offering where product need and product merit are synonymous.
A world where we mesh––where separateness is replaced by zero distance.
Between company and customer ... manager and employee ... person and world.
Moving us beyond B to C or B to B ... moving us into a space of C to C ... CEO to customer.
Nose to nose, mind to mind.
And we, in this room, have what it takes.
To make this happen.
To make this real.
To be an example.
To be Frank.
So, today, tomorrow, when you board your plane on Wednesday ... be frank.
With your customers, your employees ... maybe even yourself.
Simply lovely. Music to my ears. Thanks!
